What We Offer
*A regular Westview high school diploma including all academics at essentials levels.
*A graduate program for students who have been out of school for a while or have fallen behind.
*Part-time hours that are somewhat flexible.
*The possibility to work at a part time job and still attend school.
*An opportunity to catch-up; a student could complete more than 8 courses in one year if they are motivated.
*Limited number of courses at one time to allow for quick completion of a course.
*Self-paced courses.
*Generally fewer students per classroom allowing for more direct teacher help.
*Usually a teacher available for one-on-one help.
What We Expect
*To be considered for the program, you must be 16 to 19 years old at the date of application, demonstrate a strong desire to return to school, and the motivation to work independently.
*Attendance: you must attend to be successful. Courses move quickly; therefore, more than 3 absences and you may be removed from a course.
*Respect teachers for students and students for teachers.
*Respect for other students- no put downs, threats, racism, homophobia, sexism, etc.
*Fighting means automatic removal from the program.
*Respect for yourself- absolutely no drugs or alcohol at school.
*Respect for Westview Alternate facilities-don't break things, draw on things.
